Psalm
104:24-25 "O
LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The
earth is full of Your possessions— 25
This
great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things,
Living things both small and great."
Genesis
2:19 "Out
of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird
of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call
them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was
its name."
Fifth
Creative Day:
On
this creative day, the waters and air separated on day two are filled
with their respective inhabitants. They were brought about by Divine command!
Evolutionists claim that birds came from a process of development originating
with reptiles (Dinosaurs?). This is directly at odds with the Bibles revelation
and cannot be harmonized. God declares that birds and fish are created
at the same time; this fifth day of creation.
Text:
Genesis
1:20-23 "Then
God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of
the heavens.” 21
So
God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with
which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird
according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22
And
God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters
in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23
So
the evening and the morning were the fifth day."
Abound:
This is literally
to "swarm"; it from the Hebrew 'Sharatz '. Hence, the
Lord has brought them forth in masses and abounding in nature.
Moses
refers to them as "Living creatures" that is
with life giving breath. This is to set them apart from the vegetation
of day three.
Birds
Fly: Literally,
"Let winged creatures fly". However, fowls by definition in
the Hebrew language include all winged or feathered creatures. We find
them created from the ground (2:19).
God
Created: Here
the word created is the same word as used in verse
one (Hebrew
- 'Bara', to construct something out of nothing). However, as we look
at the window into the last day of creation, we see that this designation
is preceded by the term "formed" (Hebrew -
'Yatzar'); as in, formed out of that which He created from nothing
(2:19).
In
addition, it shows God put them here in their present form, by Divine
Will, and not an evolutionary process.
Great
Sea
Creatures:
This comes from
the Hebrew - 'Tanninim' and comes from the root
word, 'Tanan' and means to 'stretch'. The King James version
translates this as whales; however, as we can see by its use in other
places, the definition is much broader (it is used of serpents and crocodiles
- Exodus 7:9;
Deuteronomy 32:33;
Psalms 91:13;
Jeremiah 51:3;
Ezekiel 29:3;
32:2).
This
term is used by Moses to enhance our understanding concerning all aquatic
life (fish, amphibian, etc...). This establishes that modern amphibians
are not the evolutionary process springing forth from dinosaurs; but created
after their own kind!
It
was Good: God
examined and judged; investigated its nature; tested their properties;
contemplated their use; and admired their excellence in correspondence
to His Divine plan and pronounced it GOOD!
God
Blessed Them: To
bless is to wish well. This Divine blessing had reference to their immediate
ability to propagate and increase. By design, this blessing was infused
into their nature to take root and constantly bear fruit after their own
kind.
Summary:
The waters and
air separated on day two are filled with their respective inhabitants
by Divine command. There is no hint of the ability to mutate. They were
brought forth and continued to be productive after their own kind!
Nehemiah
9:6
"You
alone are the LORD; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens,
with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all
that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships
You."
Acts
4:24
"So
when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and
said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the
sea, and all that is in them"
Acts
14:15
"and
saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the
same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these
useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the
sea, and all things that are in them"
