There
are many adversaries in the path of a righteous servant of the Lord.
The victory goes to the man of God who recognizes his enemies and moves
to alienate and defeat them. Here are some to consider :
The Enemy of Ignorance.
Hosea
4:1-2 “Hear
the word of the L ord , You children of Israel , For the L ord brings
a charge against the inhabitants of the land: "There is no truth
or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land. 2
By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing
adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.”
Hosea
4:6 “My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected
knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because
you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”
1
Timothy 1:13 “although I was formerly
a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained
mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.”
The Enemy of Un-belief.
John
8:24 “Therefore
I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe
that I am He, you will die in your sins."
Hebrews
3:12 “Beware, brethren, lest there
be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living
God;”
The Enemy of Apathy.
2
Thessalonians 2:10-12 “and with all
unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive
the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that
they should believe the lie, 12
that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth
but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
The Enemy of Sin.
Hebrews
12:1-2 “Therefore we also, since we
are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every
weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with
endurance the race that is set before us, 2
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising
the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the
wiles of the devil.”
